It has been a long and controversial process, but leaders say it was well worth the wait.
Mayor Bill Peduto and County Executive Rich Fitzgerald say the county and the city must work together to consolidate every service possible, including 911.
“Public safety is our top priority, and 9-1-1 consolidation is another step toward improving our City’s emergency call answering times,” said Mayor Mitch Landrieu.
That’s what City of Pittsburgh and Allegheny County officials are saying about the consolidation of 911 service.
OPCD will be responsible for the recruitment and management of 9-1-1 operators, dispatchers, supervisors, and support staff and provide 0,000 per year to support consolidated operations.
OPCD will also coordinate with City departments on the development of policies and procedures and continue supporting technology and infrastructure requirements that improve 9-1-1 operational performance.
Debt consolidation (also known as bill consolidation) does not require a loan.
Working with a debt consolidation company means that a representative will contact your creditors and negotiate on your behalf to find a way for you to pay back your debts, possibly with reduced interest rates and no late fees.
